Three carriers, one name: how Foremost works in Arkansas.
The word "Foremost" actually covers three product families — the original specialty book, Foremost Signature (the former MetLife Auto & Home), and the combined Foremost360 — and we write all three in Arkansas. Here's what each one covers, which one fits your home, car, or toys, and why the specialty leader is bought through an agency like ours.
Short Answer
Cribb Insurance Group is an independent Foremost agency in Bentonville. Foremost is the specialty leader — founded in 1952 as America's first mobile-home insurer and now part of the Farmers Insurance Group — and the name covers three product families we write in Arkansas: Foremost Choice (the original specialty book), Foremost Signature (formerly MetLife Auto & Home), and Foremost360 (the new combined platform). Between them they cover the homes, rentals, and toys standard carriers decline. AM Best affirmed the members of the Farmers Insurance Group — the group behind the Foremost companies that write your policy — at A (Excellent), stable, on August 1, 2025.
One name, three different carriers underneath.
Most carriers are one company with one appetite. Foremost isn't. Over 70 years it grew — and then in 2021 it absorbed the entire MetLife Auto & Home book — into three distinct product families, each with its own appetite and its own strengths. We're appointed on all three in Arkansas, which is the point: an older double-wide, a log cabin, a rental duplex, and a brand-new home in Centerton can each land on a different one of these three, and sorting out which is the whole job.
Foremost Choice
The specialty book, since 1952- Homes standard carriers decline — manufactured & mobile homes, plus unusual construction: earth, log, dome, modular, metal, and tiny homes
- A preferred home product too — a standard homeowners option that can stand alone or bundle with other Foremost lines
- Landlord & dwelling — long-term rentals, short-term rentals, and vacant property
- Recreational — motorcycle, off-road/ATV, motorhomes & travel trailers, and watercraft
Foremost Signature
The former MetLife Auto & Home book- Monoline or package — auto, home, landlord, boat, motorcycle, ATV, classic car, and umbrella
- Combo & Grand Protect — package products that put everything on a single policy with one bill
- Broad home protection — the package levels can add benefits like guaranteed replacement cost on the dwelling
Foremost360
The combined MetLife + Foremost platform- The modern, unified program bringing the two books together
- Currently writes auto, home, landlord, and umbrella
- Often the fit for more standard, current risks that don't need the specialty book
Coverage for what standard carriers won't touch.
Plenty of carriers write the easy home and the newer car. Foremost was built for the rest — and that's its honest differentiator. If you've ever been told your property "doesn't fit," Foremost is often the market that does.
The homes others decline
Foremost has insured manufactured and mobile homes since 1952 — single-wide, double-wide, older models, and park homes — and its specialty home program reaches well beyond that to unusual construction: earth-sheltered, log, dome, modular, metal, and tiny homes. It also writes seasonal, vacant, and unusual-occupancy dwellings that a standard homeowners program simply won't quote. These aren't afterthoughts for Foremost; they're the core of the book.
Rentals — long-term, short-term, and vacant
The landlord and dwelling side is a Foremost strength across the families: a rental house or duplex, a short-term/vacation rental, or a home sitting vacant between tenants or during a rehab. Vacancy is exactly the situation most homeowners policies exclude — and exactly where the specialty book is designed to respond. If you own property you don't live in, this is a conversation worth having.
The toys — as flagship products, not add-ons
On a standard carrier, a motorcycle or boat is an afterthought. On Foremost, motorcycle, off-road/ATV, motorhome & travel trailer, and boat/watercraft are real, purpose-built specialty products with their own coverages — safety-apparel coverage for riders, agreed-value options, campsite and personal-property benefits for RVs, and trailer coverage where it belongs. Foremost Signature adds classic and collector car to that list. These generally ride on their own policy, which is how they should be insured anyway.

Agent-only — which is why we're here
Foremost is sold exclusively through independent agents. There's no instant, bindable online quote directly from the company, so an appointed agency is simply how the coverage is bought — and you may as well have one that writes all three Foremost families and represents 40 other carriers, so we can tell you honestly when Foremost is the answer and when it isn't.
One more thing worth naming: some Foremost-marketed auto — particularly nonstandard or high-risk coverage — is underwritten and serviced through Bristol West, another Farmers company. Where that applies, we'll say so up front. The details live on the auto page.
The lines, in detail.
Each of these gets its own page, with the Arkansas specifics and the parts the brochure leaves out — including which of the three families tends to fit. They're publishing one at a time; links go live as each page does.

Foremost Cribby figures out which of the three fits.
Cribby the Chameleon is our guide to reading a policy in plain English.
A chameleon adapts to what's around it — which is exactly the job here. With three Foremost families, an unusual home, a rental, and a garage full of toys, the question is always which company and form actually fit. That's a coverage review, in chameleon form: we match the risk to the right Foremost family and quote it against 40 other carriers to be sure.
A (Excellent) — and which company that describes.
A rating is a solvency opinion, not a claims opinion
AM Best is explicit that a Financial Strength Rating does not address a carrier's claims-handling practices and is not a recommendation to buy or keep any policy. So an A (Excellent) tells you the Foremost companies can pay — backed by Farmers' scale and catastrophe reinsurance program. That's real and worth knowing; it just isn't the same question as how a claim will go. Different questions, different sources. Anyone handing you a letter grade as the answer to all of them is handing you a logo.
What we actually do at a claim
Narrower than some agencies imply, and we'd rather be straight about it. We don't adjust your claim and we can't overrule an adjuster.
What we do: tell you whether a claim is worth filing before you file it, make sure the coverage that should respond gets identified, chase the file when it stalls, and move you to another of our markets — or another Foremost family — if the current fit stops working. That last one is the part a direct-only relationship structurally can't do.
Specialty risk sets the number.
We won't post a monthly figure on a Foremost hub, and that's the honest answer rather than a dodge. Foremost is a specialty book — a 1998 double-wide on rented land, a log home on ten acres, a short-term rental, a bass boat, and a nonstandard auto price on completely different logic. A single "starting at" number would be misleading for most of them. This isn't a quote or a guarantee.
What reliably helps: putting the risk on the right Foremost family, then bundling — either inside a Signature package (Combo or Grand Protect) or by mixing and matching across the three families, since Choice's preferred home can still bundle with the rest. And set your coverage — replacement cost versus actual cash value on a mobile home, agreed value on a toy — on purpose. Send your current declarations page and we'll build the real number with you and quote it against 40+ other carriers.

This page describes coverage in general terms for informational purposes only. It is not a policy, not an offer of insurance, and not a guarantee of coverage, availability, eligibility, or price. Coverage, program availability, product families, package options, discounts, and eligibility vary by product, by state, by policy, and over time, are set by the carrier, and are subject to underwriting approval and to the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions of the policy actually issued. Eligibility for any risk — including manufactured, mobile, seasonal, vacant, unusual-construction, landlord, and recreational risks — is determined by the carrier on the facts of your property or vehicle; this page makes no representation that any particular property, vehicle, or situation qualifies. If anything on this page conflicts with the issued policy, the policy controls.
Financial strength ratings are opinions of an insurer's ability to meet its ongoing insurance obligations, are subject to change, and are not recommendations to purchase, hold or terminate any policy, nor do they address an insurer's claims-handling practices; current ratings are at ambest.com. The A (Excellent) rating referenced was affirmed by AM Best on August 1, 2025 for the members of the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies, which include the Foremost underwriting companies. No cost figures are represented or guaranteed on this page; any premium is determined by the carrier at quote based on your specific risk.
