Meet the Team | Cribb Insurance Group, Bentonville AR
Bentonville, AR · 9 people · Ask for anyone by name

The whole point is that it's the same people.

Most insurance is sold by whoever answers, and serviced by whoever is next in the queue. That is not what happens here. The person who writes your policy is the person who picks up when something goes wrong — which matters most at claim time, when knowing the household and the history means the conversation starts somewhere sensible rather than at the beginning.

Who to ask for

New policy or a comparison — any of the agents. Business insurance — Ryan, or Jason. A change, a certificate, an ID card — the service team, and the fastest route is the Service Center. Already worked with someone here? Ask for them by name and that is who you will get. If you are not sure, call the main number and describe it plainly — sorting that out is not your job.

One thing worth knowing

Use a name. It changes the conversation.

Saying "I usually deal with" and a name, in the first sentence, is the single fastest thing you can do on a call here. It skips the part where somebody works out which file you are and whether anybody has spoken to you recently. Nobody gets routed away from the person who knows their household, and you never have to ask for that as a favor.

The honest limit: a team this size means the person you want is sometimes on another call or out at a client. Everything lives in one management system rather than in an individual's inbox, so somebody else can open the same file and help you today — and if it is something only your usual agent can sensibly answer, we will say so and tell you when they are back rather than guessing on their behalf. How to reach whoever you need.

Why size matters here

Small team, deliberately.

9 people
one office
no call center, no queue

Everyone on this page works at the same address in Bentonville. There is no overflow center and no department your file gets handed to.

What you give up, and what you get.

Be clear-eyed about the trade. A large agency or a direct carrier has more people answering phones for more hours a day. If what you want at eleven at night is a card reissued, that is a real advantage and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Our client portal covers documents around the clock, and your carrier's claims line never closes, which handles the two things that genuinely cannot wait.

What a team this size can do is notice. When one person handles a household across home, auto, the boat and the business, somebody sees that adding a vehicle should have moved the umbrella, or that a business address change touched three policies rather than one. Gaps live between policies, not inside them, and nobody finds them by reading one at a time.

It also means we can say the unprofitable thing. Because we are independent and place across more than forty carriers, sometimes the useful answer is that what you already have is correctly structured and priced, so leave it alone. That answer takes a person who is going to be here next year to give it.

Frequently asked questions

Working with the people here.

Can I ask for a specific person?

Yes, by name, and you will get them.

If you have worked with somebody here before, say so when you call or put it at the top of the email and it goes straight to them. Nobody gets routed away from the person who knows their file. That is most of the reason to use an agency this size rather than a number that reaches whoever is free. It is worth being realistic about one thing: a small team means the person you want is sometimes on another call or out at a client. If it can wait, we will tell you when they are back. If it cannot, somebody else can open the same file and help you now.

Who should I ask for with business insurance?

Ryan Amthauer handles commercial lines, and Jason writes business as well.

Commercial work runs differently from personal. General liability, commercial property, workers compensation, commercial auto and the specialist coverages that attach to particular trades all involve questions about what the operation actually does day to day, where the work happens and who drives what. Bring the operation, not the paperwork description of it. If you are not sure whether something counts as commercial, call the main number and describe it plainly, and whoever picks up will put it in the right place.

What happens if the person I usually work with is out?

Somebody else opens the same file and picks it up.

Everything sits in one management system rather than in an individual's head or inbox, so a request does not stall because one person is away. That is also why service requests go to the team address rather than to a personal one. What you should not get is a stranger asking you to explain your household from the beginning, because the history is in front of whoever is helping you. If it is something only your usual agent can sensibly answer, we will say so and tell you when they are back rather than guessing on their behalf.

Are your agents licensed, and can I check?

Yes, and yes.

Selling and servicing insurance requires a producer license issued by the state, and the agency is licensed in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas. Licensing is public record: each state's insurance department maintains a lookup where you can search a producer or an agency by name and see the license status and the lines they are authorized for. In Arkansas that is the Arkansas Insurance Department. You are entitled to ask anyone in this business for their license information and a straight answer, and if you ever get anything other than one, that tells you something.

You are a small team. Would a bigger agency be better?

For some things, honestly, maybe. For most of what people actually need, no.

A large agency or a direct carrier has more people answering phones and longer hours, and if what you want is a card reissued at midnight that is a real advantage. What it cannot easily do is continuity. When the person who wrote your policy is the person who answers at claim time, the conversation starts somewhere sensible instead of at the beginning, and somebody notices when a change to one policy should have moved another. The trade is genuine and worth understanding rather than being sold on. We also have around-the-clock coverage where it counts most: your carrier's claims line never closes.

Who is Cribby Chameleon?

The agency mascot, and yes, he is on the team page on purpose.

A chameleon changes to suit the situation, which is a reasonable joke about what an independent agency does with more than forty carriers behind it. He shows up across the site and turns complicated coverage questions into plain English. He is not a licensed producer, he does not quote policies, and he will not be answering the phone.
