TOP HOMEOWNERS DISCOUNTS
Bundle auto + home
You can save up to 40% when you bundle homeowners and auto (savings varies per carrier).* You can also combine many other policies and save, including home and motorcycle, auto and boat, home and RV, etc. See more on bundling insurance.
Alarm systems and safety devices
You may be able to earn extra home insurance discounts for burglar alarms, fire alarms, automatic sprinklers, and security systems in your home.
Quote in advance
This discount may be available to you if you're shopping ahead. Get a quote from 5 to 15 days before your policy starts(subject to carrier rules), and you'll lower your home insurance rate.
You may be able to earn a discount if you're purchasing a new home or switching from a current renters policy. Your home does not have to be newly built to qualify.
Pay in full
If this discount is available to you, it's an easy one to earn. Just select to pay for your 12-month policy upfront.
Receive documents by email-(Paperless)
This is another easy discount if it's available to you. Just select to receive your policy documents through email, and you'll get this home insurance discount.
New home construction
The newer your home, the bigger discount you could earn.
New roof discount
The newer your roof, the bigger discount you could earn.
EXTRA WAYS TO SAVE
The homeowners insurance companies we work with have established relationships with contractors across the country. That means if your home is damaged, you'll get a recommendation for a qualified contractor, and you might get a better price.
Single Event deductible
If you bundle homeowners and auto, and one incident/claim applies to both, you only have to pay one deductible. If you don't bundle, you'd have to pay two different deductibles to two different insurance companies. This benefit is only available with certain homeowners insurance. Ask your agent if your carrier provides a single event deductible.
For example: A tree crashes through your garage and also damages your car. Your homeowners covers repairs to your garage and your auto policy covers your car. For your auto policy, falling trees are covered by comprehensive, so if you have that you're covered (most drivers do add comprehensive). If you have a $1000 deductible for both policies, you only have to pay $1000, and both will be repaired. That saves you $1000.
